Coaching and therapy are different services with different protections and different scopes. Within Jeffrey’s practice, an individual works with Jeffrey as either a coaching client or a therapy client, not both. If during coaching it becomes clear that therapeutic care would better serve you, Jeffrey will help you identify a licensed therapist (which may or may not be Jeffrey in a future engagement) and discontinue the coaching engagement.
Life is unpredictable, interesting, and quite beautiful. Throughout the years, we’re presented with countless personal and professional opportunities; however, we don’t always recognize or embrace them. Why? Well, we have internal and external factors that influence purpose, drive, and overall success. By understanding this dynamic, we can create awareness, embrace possibilities, and make deliberate efforts to grow, adapt, and thrive.
Coaching is an art – yes, an art! – that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and teach others. With significant experience in this area, I’m able to create strong and meaningful relationships, inspire growth, and unlock potential.
The distinction
Life Coaching vs. Psychotherapy
Life coaching and psychotherapy share similarities; however, they differ in approach, purpose, and scope. Life coaching emphasizes goal setting, personal development, and future-oriented change, while psychotherapy focuses on addressing mental health conditions (e.g., generalized anxiety and major depression) and emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
