It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Jeffrey provides psychotherapy services only. He does not provide psychiatric services, prescribe medications, or administer or interpret neuropsychological testing. When those services would benefit your care, he refers you to an independent provider with the specialty needed. Referred providers are independent practitioners. They are not employees, partners, or affiliates of Channel Psychotherapy, and have no financial relationship with the practice. You are free to select any qualified provider; providers Jeffrey refers you to are suggestions based on his professional knowledge of their work, not requirements.

René Descartes (1596-1650) was a prominent 17th–century polymath and philosopher who wrote Meditations on First Philosophy. In these meditations, he explored the foundations of knowledge, the nature of consciousness, and the mind-body connection. Descartes theorized that the mind and body were connected; however, he couldn’t explain their interaction.

Today, research has shown that the mind and body are interconnected and influence each other via complex biological and psychological processes. Given this reality, I often collaborate with other professionals to provide holistic, integrative care.

FAQs

Common questions about clinical consultations & referrals.

No. Referrals are made for a variety of reasons, including medical treatment, psychiatric care, and diagnostic clarification. Often, a referral is intended to complement—not replace—our therapeutic work together.

I work with internal medicine physicians, addiction medicine physicians, neuropsychologists, and other licensed professionals. In addition, I collaborate with select treatment centers across the country that provide comprehensive dual-diagnosis care. These treatment centers are independent of Channel Psychotherapy; the practice has no financial relationship with any of them.

Yes. My professional network is extensive and nationwide. If/when a clinical referral is necessary, I’ll connect you with a trusted provider or treatment program.

Referrals are case-by-case and meant to complement our therapeutic work. If an individual could benefit from medication, neuropsychological assessment, and/or residential treatment, they will be connected with an appropriate provider or program.
